What’s the best time of the year to sell a home? As listing agents, It’s a question that we get asked when people are preparing to sell a home, but have some flexibility in their timeframe to do so. There are a few factors to consider, here are the biggest two:
What this information will show is that Reading single family homes averaged OVER $300 per square foot - which is the first time this threshold has been broken here in any given year!
We are over the hallway mark of 2017 by almost two months at this point, and it's no surprise that the condo sales market North of Boston was just as fired up as the single family home sales market.
Here's a quick comparison of condominium sales in 4 towns in the 93 / 95 "split" from Jan 1, 2017 to today: August 21, 2017.

Last night I presented some information to new single family homebuyer clients looking North of Boston, targeting towns such as Reading, North Reading, Stoneham, Wilmington, Woburn & Wakefield. Not surprisingly, days on market are quick (the past 2 weeks of offers have an average of 10 days until offer in Reading alone!), and multiple-offers are the norm, which means "over-asking" accepted offers are also the trend.
Ok, my stats loving friends, here’s some quick data reflecting the single family homes sales in Andover, North Reading, and Reading in the First Quarter of 2016 vs First Quarter of 2017.
