Late last year, I was given the welcome task of helping my buyer clients in their search for a historic and distinct home on the . A historic home that was either renovated OR had potential to be renovated, BUT also needed to be close to: 1. a bustling town center 2. the commuter rail 3. some “slice of nature”. The combination of classic New England colonial charm with a modern flair has been a staple of our local market for decades, and is a criteria that many local buyers have on their wish list. Finding that in a location that fits their commuting, social needs and outdoor wish list wouldn’t be easy, but: challenge accepted!
This week I was asked by a home seller on the “West Side” of Reading what the difference was between selling your home in the Fall vs the Spring. I have written about this topic before - early this year in fact - particularly as it relates to the towns of Reading and North Reading....

We are over the hallway mark of 2017 by almost two months at this point, and it's no surprise that the condo sales market North of Boston was just as fired up as the single family home sales market.
Here's a quick comparison of condominium sales in 4 towns in the 93 / 95 "split" from Jan 1, 2017 to today: August 21, 2017.

Last night I presented some information to new single family homebuyer clients looking North of Boston, targeting towns such as Reading, North Reading, Stoneham, Wilmington, Woburn & Wakefield. Not surprisingly, days on market are quick (the past 2 weeks of offers have an average of 10 days until offer in Reading alone!), and multiple-offers are the norm, which means "over-asking" accepted offers are also the trend.
